Laboratory servo tensile testing machine is the core equipment for material mechanical properties testing. It is mainly used to measure the tensile, compression, bending, shear and other mechanical properties of metals, plastics, rubber, textiles, composite materials and other materials. 1. Basic parameters
Maximum test force
The core parameter determines the material strength range that the equipment can test. Common specifications are: 10kN, 50kN, 100kN, 200kN, 300kN, 500kN, 1000kN, etc.
Example: 10kN is suitable for low-strength materials such as films and fibers; 1000kN is suitable for high-strength metal materials (such as steel).
Test force measurement range
Usually 0.2%~100% of the maximum test force (some high-precision equipment can reach 0.1%~100%), ensuring that both small and large force tests are accurate.
Test force accuracy
Refers to the deviation between the measured value and the true value. The national standard requires ≤±1% (0.5-level equipment can reach ≤±0.5%), which is the core indicator for measuring equipment accuracy.
2. Displacement related parameters
Displacement measurement range
Determined by the equipment beam travel, common range: 0~1000mm (some equipment can reach more than 2000mm, suitable for long sample testing).
Displacement measurement accuracy
Usually ±0.5% FS (full scale) or ±0.01mm, to ensure accurate recording of sample deformation.
Test speed range
Servo system control, wide range: 0.001mm/min~500mm/min (some equipment can reach 1000mm/min), meeting the speed requirements of different standards (such as GB, ISO, ASTM) (such as tensile test usually 0.5~50mm/min).
3. Control and data acquisition
Control system
Adopts servo motor + ball screw drive to achieve closed-loop control of force, displacement and strain, with control accuracy ≤±0.5%.
Data acquisition frequency
Affects the smoothness of the curve, commonly 100Hz~10kHz, high-frequency acquisition can capture the peak value of the material at the moment of fracture.
Software function
Automatically calculates parameters such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, elastic modulus, etc., supports data export (Excel, PDF) and curve analysis (stress-strain curve, force-displacement curve).
4. Structure and sample related
Sample clamping method
Select according to the material: tensile clamp (wedge, flat, threaded), compression clamp, bending clamp (three-point/four-point bending), shear clamp, etc., to ensure that the sample does not slip or get damaged.
Mainframe structure
Mostly portal frames (high rigidity, reduced deformation), the material is usually high-quality steel to ensure test stability.
5. Other important parameters
Power supply requirements: AC 220V/380V, 50Hz (depending on the power).
Working environment: temperature 10~35ºC, humidity 30%~80% (no condensation), avoid vibration and electromagnetic interference.
Safety protection: overload protection (automatic shutdown at 110%~120% maximum test force), limit protection, emergency stop button, etc.
Parameter selection suggestions
Low-strength materials (plastic, rubber): select 10~50kN, high displacement accuracy.
Metal materials: select 100~1000kN, high force value accuracy.
Multiple tests are required (tension + bending + compression): equipment with replaceable fixtures and multiple control modes is preferred.
