Core Principle
The Halogen Lamp Moisture Meter operates on the sophisticated principle of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), achieving precise moisture quantification through a process of "heat drying followed by weight change".
Heating Evaporation: The device utilizes the powerful, high-intensity infrared radiation heat generated by a halogen heating tube (or lamp), which efficiently penetrates the sample's interior. This process causes the moisture, including free water, bound water, and certain volatile components, to evaporate rapidly under the influence of heat.
Real-time Weighing: Equipped with a built-in, high-precision electronic balance, the instrument meticulously monitors the sample's weight change throughout the heating process, delivering accuracy up to 0.1mg or 0.001g.
Automatic Calculation: The instrument automatically computes the moisture content by evaluating the difference between the "initial weight" and the "weight after drying". The formula used is (Moisture Content = (Weight Loss / Initial Weight) × 100%). Once the weight change reaches a predetermined threshold, like constant weight, the instrument halts automatically and displays the final results.
